Turbidity Expert – New Features and Connectivity

This summer, we will introduce a series of feature enhancements to the Turbidity Expert platform, designed to improve usability and enhance connectivity.

Key updates include:

  • TSS Measurement – The addition of an option to add a Total Suspended Solids (TSS) calibration will expand the testing capability of Turbidity Expert.
  • Optic Health Check – Bringing extra peace of mind, this feature will allow you to check the performance of the instrument’s optics and will flag when maintenance is needed.
  • Real-Time Data via Wi-Fi Connectivity – Wi-Fi connectivity will unlock real-time data and seamless integration with Connect for smarter, faster decisions.
  • Low-Level Solid Turbidity Standard  – This will be a more stable, reliable alternative to liquid standards, designed to simplify low-level verification on the instrument.

Lumiso Expert – Real-time Data Enabled

The Lumiso Expert platform will continue to evolve, with a focus on connectivity and usability:

  • Real-Time Data Capability – As with the Turbidity Expert platform, by the end of the year, Wi-Fi connectivity will enable real-time data transfer, better integrating Lumiso Expert with data-management platform Connect.
  • Rechargeable Battery – A rechargeable battery will improve battery life, reduce reliance on disposables, and support more sustainable field use.

Lumiso Handheld – Introducing Eco Kits

We’re introducing a new range of Lumiso Eco Kits! These are cardboard kits containing only the essential reagents and accessories needed to get started, offering a smarter, more sustainable alternative to traditional hard case kits. Available across all handheld variants, they deliver a lower-cost, lower-waste solution without compromising performance, particularly suited to customers testing in a single location.

For customers who require greater portability and protection when moving between sites, our existing hard case kits will continue to be available, ensuring the right solution for every application.

Connect – What’s Coming Next

We’re excited to share a preview of what’s coming soon to the Connect platform.

Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing a range of new features designed to enhance usability, efficiency, and overall customer experience. A key focus is our enhanced onboarding programme, which will offer a much more guided and intuitive introduction to the software. This will include web-based walkthroughs that help users navigate key functionalities, understand workflows, and get the most out of Connect from day one. We’re targeting a launch in Autumn this year for these onboarding improvements.

Alongside this, we’re expanding Connect’s capabilities with new functionality, including enhanced manual data upload. This gives users greater flexibility to bring a broader range of results into one central platform, supporting more streamlined workflows and a more complete view of their data.

In addition, we are introducing Wi-Fi upload functionality across our hardware instruments, including both the Turbidity and Lumiso Expert ranges. This will enable faster, more seamless data transfer directly into Connect, reducing manual steps and helping users access and analyse results more efficiently.

Together, these updates represent a significant step forward in making Connect more flexible, more connected, and more powerful for our customers.
