The preferred test solution for fresh produce washing
Kemio is designed with food safety in mind. With no glassware Kemio can be used on the factory floor without risk of contamination. With the new free chlorine range up to 100 mg/L the need for dilution of samples is now reduced, removing another step for the user.
Truly simple to use, with on screen instructions to guide the user through the basic steps, Kemio can be used by anyone, without the need for laboratory technicians. Delivering a result in 60 seconds or less, Kemio enables you to take immediate corrective actions where required.
Where produce washing is concerned, the water will be coloured or turbid making traditional methods ineffective, but Kemio is not driven by colour. Suitable for all sample types including those which are coloured, turbid, have floating particles or the presence of fats and greases, Kemio delivers accurate results for every sample type. But don’t take our word for it, Kemio has been independently verified as the best test method for monitoring of produce wash waters.
How does Kemio work?
Kemio uses chronoamperometry, powered by our patented, single-use sensors which generate an electrical current by reacting with the chemical in the water sample. Kemio measures this electrical signal to determine the concentration of chemical within the sample.
Why should you choose Kemio Technology?
Kemio is different to traditional test methods, ensuring accurate, repeatable and reliable results each time. With Kemio you can have full confidence in your results and your disinfectant dosing. Program your device to your specification so that all results display a pass or fail result, giving your operator clear guidance when corrective actions are required.
Kemio creates a fully traceable and auditable dataset, with automatic results logging. All test results are stored on the instrument, with a time/date stamp and the ability to add further information such as operator and location. This data can then be downloaded to a PC by connecting the device through USB. Ideal for users who use more than one disinfection type, Kemio Disinfection enables testing of bromine, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, chlorite and peracetic acid (PAA) on one device.
Can I use this new high range free chlorine test on my existing Kemio Disinfection unit?
Yes, all existing Kemio Disinfection units are compatible with the new free chlorine sensor. These are available to buy in packs of 100 (KEM21FHR) and 500 sensors (KEM25FHR).
